Rooting DC is a FREE, all-day gardening forum that provides education about urban agriculture and food systems, cultivates health and protection of the environment, and builds community. The program includes dozens of interactive workshops, cooking and food preparation demonstrations, and panel discussions on food food policy, nutrition, and healthy food access. The event hosts 60+ green businesses and non-profits from throughout the region at an engaging Information Fair.

Rooting DC is organized by DC Greens, City Blossoms, Common Good City Farm, Love & Carrots and individual community members invested in improving our regional food system and ecosystem. DC Greens is the fiscal sponsor for the event.
